Photo A Day - November (Smack my b*tch up/Snap my picture) Week 2

Hey Munchkins,

Back again to share Week 2 of my 'Photo A Day Challenge'.  When my super sweet pal, Kim of What Peggy Said and I decided to give this thing a go, we both figured we'd get a few done and then let it fall to the wayside.  Accordingly, we decided to keep the pressure off and be called Team Fail!  As it turns out, we are both going great guns, so we may soon need to change our name to Team Awesomest of All Time! Hahaa!  I'd also like to say the HUGEST of thank you's to Kim for the totally unexpected and just beyond lovely post she made of Yours Truly yesterday!! I actually teared up (and swore loudly haha!).  Go pop over and tell her she's grand for me!!!  And don't forget to say hello to Wilson, El's giant silver UK twin!  Ok, back to Week 2 - ready Freddy?

Day 8 (Something I do every day) - pull stupid faces. I do not have a poker face at all   Facial acrobatics - I got it down!

Day 9 (Small) - Little Bones

Day 10 (can't or won't live without) - I love you everything Potato  It was almost a pic of my Hubs...but...I've known potato longer haha!

Day 11 (night) - our lounge room light shades. Sparkle, sparkle

Day 12 (Drink) - yummy cider, great name! The 'on tap' marker at the bars is an actual granny square
(you can see the On Tap markers here)

Day 13 (Where I slept) - next to him, every night.

Day 14 (Man Made) - the 23 metre high "Touching Light" by Warren Langley at Old Kingston Powerhouse complex - marking the site of Canberra's oldest building. It's shimmers in different soft colours during the day, then glows bright blue at night.  It bathes the entire surrounding area is this eerily calming blue. Clever hubby took me here as a suprise - I didn't even know it existed!

So thats Week 2 done and dusted! Totally past the halfway mark now, and still kicking!  It's funny, some days I wanna change the task of the day to something more fun (like unicorns).... but then again, it has got me posting more of my random day-to-day stuff (queue lovely potatoes), that I usually wouldn't even think of posting.... hmm still undecided... Does anyone really want to see a picture of the Potato of Love (don't be dirty, you pervs!).

Also following up from the last Photo A Day post, I really seem to have gotten a bee in my bonnet (granny speak) about my WIPs, and so once I have finished this post I am going to go and pack up a humungous bag of them to take down to my folks place next week.  I am determined to come back with fabulous finished projects... or ummmm.... sand in my togs... same same!

Hey Lovers, wanna tell me what you can't or won't live without?  Or maybe just what your favourite drink of the moment is?

Smoochies to you

    1. It's sooo yummy and apple-y! I wanted something super sweet the other day, so I added a splash of raspberry cordial - totally indulgent :)

  2. You are so beautiful! I laughed so hard at the 'facial acrobatics'. That cider has a great name, I'd drink it just for that :)
Is your lightshade by Tord Bootie? I always wanted one of those.
Keep up the blog, I love reading it!

    1. Aww thanks so much Anon! No need to be Anon though!!
Yep, the shade is a Tord Boontje - we have two hanging lights in the lounge room, so we got 2 of the gold garlands for them. Every time I think of updating the loungeroom, I can't bring myself to change them, they are just so pretty and sparkly! hahaha!
Thanks so much for reading and for commenting too!!!! Don't be a stranger :)

  3. I have an uber love for potatoes too. I swear I was almost going to post a picture of a potato. Mashed wins for me every time. Total fave comfort food.
I opened a random bottle of rose wine the other night (I always get loads at Christmas and summer from the kids at school) - the NICEST wine I've ever tasted. Can I find the bloody stuff anywhere? I don't even know which kid gave me it so I can't ask...so yeah, that's my favourite drink!
PS: Thanks for the shoutout! Wilson sends a big fat bird/squirrel/mouse for El! xx

    1. Hahah Potatoes are just about THE best thing ever! And you're so right on the comfort food - anytime I've had surgery for anything, the only thing I wanna eat for the next 3 days is always mash potato hahaa!
Thats so sweet that the little ones give you presents - and such good presents :) Its always the way with a great bottle of wine, huh?!! I've started taking pics on phone of the bottle if the first sip is good, cause I never remember the name! Hahaa!
Psshhttt!! No thanks allowed Hun! Your post was too lovely, and I am putting together a little something in return :) Oh man, El would got crazy for squirrel - once he figured out what it was! Speaking of birds and mice, I got one of each today from him..... yuk!
      Huge hugs, Sweetie!!

    1. Aww thank you, Darlingheart! You really are too sweet! I always get really nervous about putting my face out there haha! But I figure I am always pulling goofy faces, so I might as well put them out there. I love the hand pic too - Josh was killing himself laughing, saying that I had chid hands (I don't), so I just pointed out that mine are normal sized and clearly he has ape hands that have gone bald haha!
Oohhh eyeliner is a good one!! Vanity wise, I could not live without lip balm (especially Lucas' Pawpaw ointment), I neeeeeeeed that stuff!!
      Hugs to you, Honey!
